What information do we collect?
Our Web server automatically recognizes each visitor’s domain name, but does not automatically collect personally identifiable information. However, when you book a trip or make a donation through our site, we do collect specific information from you.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:
- To coordinate your trip to Ghana.
- To process transactions.
- To send periodic newsletter updates via email. Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
How do we protect your information?
Adanu has contracted the services of a banking partner to process credit card donations and deposits submitted online. Our banking partner’s secured server encrypts (using SSL“Secure Sockets Layer”) your credit card information so that it may be safely transmitted over the Web. Your credit card information will not be released by Adanu or its banking partner to any other party.
Do we share the information we collect with third parties?
We never share any information with third parties.
What is our refund policy?
Any donations you make are non-refundable.
Deposits for trip fees are non-refundable. If you cancel up to 70 days prior to the trip’s start date, you will get a full refund less your $300 deposit. You may elect to transfer your deposit to another trip if it is within 12 months of the original trip start date. In the rare and unlikely event that Adanu has to cancel a trip, you will receive a 100% refund, including your deposit.
If you cancel 31 to 69 days prior to the trip start date, you will receive a 60% refund of the balance of the trip fee, less your $300 deposit. If you reschedule, you will receive no refund, but you will have one year from the original trip start date to apply the remaining portion of the fees to another trip.
If you cancel less than 30 days from the trip start date, you will receive no refund. If you reschedule, you will receive no refund, but you will have one year from the original trip start date to apply the remaining portion of the fees to another trip. Again the deposit is not refundable.
